Navitas Values - We Promise, the Staff Delivers.

There are a few values that Navitas considered to be it's core values.

  • Deliver Promises
  • Clear Communication
  • Innovate
  • Embrace Change
  • Respect
  • Collaborate
Delivery promises refer to the assurances a company makes about the timing and quality of their products or services. To demonstrate a commitment to these promises, a company may invest in efficient systems, set clear expectations with customers, and regularly review and improve upon their delivery performance. Overall, it's important for a company to be reliable, accountable, and responsive to customer needs in order to fulfil its delivery promises. Personally, I identify with delivery promises as keeping to one's word and it's something I pride myself in.

Clear Communication: Clear communication refers to the practice of effectively and accurately conveying information, ideas, and instructions to others. This can involve using language that is easy to understand, being attentive to nonverbal cues, and actively listening to others. Clear communication is essential for building trust, improving teamwork and productivity, and resolving conflicts. Clear communication is something I strive to achieve in the workplace as it's always important to be clearly understandable when offering your viewpoint.

Innovate: To innovate means to introduce something new or to make changes in order to improve upon an existing product, process, or service. Innovation can involve developing new ideas, finding new ways of doing things, or using new technologies. Innovation is often seen as a key driver of business success and can help a company to stay competitive in a changing market. Innovating to me means trying to come up with new and better solutions to existing systems or problems. For me this means coming exploring paths unexplored and it's something I'm familiar with as most software development problems require you to find a clean efficient solution.

Embrace Change: Embracing change refers to the willingness to adapt and respond to new situations, challenges, or opportunities. This might involve adjusting to new processes, technologies, or policies, or adopting a flexible mindset that allows for adaptability and continuous learning. Embracing change can be crucial for a company's ability to stay relevant and successful in a constantly changing environment. In my opinion, change is inevitable and this is something I have experienced in workplaces before as well as in various volunteer organizations as change can come in the forms of different management, workplace culture or even new policy updates.

Respect: Respect is the act of recognizing and valuing the worth and dignity of others. This can involve treating people with kindness, consideration, and fairness, and valuing their opinions, feelings, and rights. A culture of respect is essential for building positive relationships and creating a positive work environment. Not having respect towards each other can become a massive problem in a workplace. This is something I've experienced as coworkers that didn't respect each other often were at odds with each other and the workflow was disrupted because of it. This is something I aim to avoid in the workplace as respect is a basic human privilege.

Collaborate: Collaboration is the act of working with others towards a shared goal. This might involve pooling resources, sharing knowledge and expertise, and coordinating efforts. Collaboration can be especially valuable in a business context, as it can help to increase efficiency, generate new ideas, and improve decision-making. Software development in general is a collaborative effort as good code is written when multiple developers come together to create something great. This is a practice I identify with and want to continue at Navitas.
